Thrifter
Thrift Shop Mobile Application
As a part of my Google UX Design Certification, I was tasked with making a functional eCommerce App that encourages local consumers to browse the items currently in stock, and bring them into the store more often.

Personas were developed for business to business and direct to consumer clients.

Solution
The first of it's kind e-thrifting app has a host of useful features for browsing local thrift stores' stock. Users can browse by store, search by category, favorite products, and receive alerts if an item is sold. There is an intuitive checkout process, and even a rewards program to encourage customers to keep coming back.
My Thoughts
During the research stage, I looked at various other eCommerce platforms and considered the pain points and deceptive patterns. My goal was to simplify the checkout process while placing "Purchase" or "Add to Cart" buttons in a way that encourages purchasing behavior without being intrusive or tricking the customer.
I re-visited this project after taking Mizko's Ultimate Figma Masterclass offered through Designership. With the skills I learned, I have been building out a comprehensive design system complete with color palettes, typography, icons, effects, and more. I have also been able to better incorporate Auto Layout, Component Properties, and Plugins to make the design more ubiquitous and manageable.
